AMATEUR
An amateur is a golfer who may not accept prize money in a competition where handicaps are considered, but may receive a gift certificate not to exceed $1,200 per competition. In a competition there is absolutely no handicap considerations, an amateur may receive a cash prize not to exceed $1,200.
NON AMATEURS
An amateur golfer who chooses to relinquish their amateur status is considered a non-amateur and may receive a cash prize
PROFESSIONALS
A professional who has not competed in any event other than the PGA of Canada in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023
PRESTIGE SERIES
A series of 5 events on select courses in the province.
A pure golf competition.
Gross scoring.
No handicaps.
A regular and a senior divisions
Cash purses!
Competitive golf, simply at its best.
The Prestige Series by CGC Tour is reserved for the best amateur golfers.
ELIGIBILITY
Golf Canada AND CGC Tour memberships are required to participate in any of the series’ events.
Regular Division : No restrictions (see approved player status at top of page)
Senior Division : Reserved to members 55 years of age or older on the day of the event.
PURSES
All purses will be given by check, the day of the event.
1st Place: $1000
2nd Place: $400
3rd Place: $200
*** Extra holes and sudden death will determine 1st position ***
*** Ties will be maintained from 2nd position onwards ***
A participation to an event will also give a chance to win a participation prize for the draw, held before the Champions Gala, at the end of the year.
